NBC sacks newsman Matt Lauer over alleged sexual misconduct

WASHINGTON: NBC said Wednesday it has let go Matt Lauer, a notable morning commentator, what it depicted as wrong sexual conduct in the working environment. 

Lauer's co-have Savannah Guthrie reported his end toward the start of Wednesday's "Today" program. 

"This is a dismal morning here at 'Today' and at NBC News," Guthrie said.
